Ugh!!! This is a very tough problem. Once we actually realize that terrorism is based on the religion of Islam then we can start to honestly look at how to battle it. Islam is a religion of action with very little care for compassion or others. You get to act and become a martyr and no one in the religion feels that they have the right to stand ... See Moreup to these so called martyrs and say to them that they are wrong for taking the innocent lives of others. If they choose to live peacefully I do not have a problem, but having been to Afghanistan I have a very large distrust of Muslims. Their fundamental desire is to kill Jews and Christians. It is sad but fundamentally the way the religion is put together. Yet again the root of our problems is Islam. In my belief we should control them as we once did at the Barbary Coast. Everyone says the crusades were a bad thing but, the crusades were started by five of the fractions of Islam, yes they invaded peaceful countries to enslave them, NOT BY THE CHRISTIANS!!! The Christians acted in defense. Let’s keep our history straight or we will repeat it or even worse become slaves.

I fear we are in a situation in the world today that the solution might be hard to swallow. A compassionate based solution might not be available in the future if we get this one wrong. So we need to take a tough stand and call a spade a shovel. It comes to the fact that the people of all Muslim countries themselves need to be shown how to use their freedoms and the freedom of their press and freedoms of discovery to rut out corruption and honestly deal with it. Until Islamic people act on their own we will be doomed. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA needs to point out the corruption there and let the chips fall. If they choose not to act to solve the corruption then let them have a cruel dictatorsip to control them. (OH YEAH WE NEED TO POINT OUT OUR OWN AND FIX OUR CORRUPTION AS AN EXAMPLE.) Abandoning Afghanistan is hard, but staying is harder. I personally think that we should add a large, large number of troops rut out all the people that wish to do Americans harm. While honestly reporting on the true corruption in the country. Expose it and let due diligent of the people battle corruption from within. Then it is not our battle. We then draw down our troops and get out. I see it taking all of about six months TOPS!!!

I am not perfect but it seams to me to do what you can then let the people have their free will to choose or by not choosing they made their choice.

Debbie Fairbanks Sargent

Debbie Fairbanks Sargent Hi Jason, I am sure you have heard about the scientists hiding evidence regarding global cooling. I have attached a few links to articles in the Washington Post and the NY Times on the subject. I would like to see a congressional investigation on this fraud which has been perpetrated on the American People. Thank you f...or all your hard work!

Scientific progress depends on accurate and complete data. It also relies on replication. The past couple of days have uncovered some shocking revelations about the baloney practices that pass as sound science about climate change.

Another thing that never ceases to amaze me about Congress is this engrained need to create new programs instead of improving existing ones.

I don't care for the healthcare legislation either but it seems to me (and I don't know all the details) that expanding the federal employees insurance plan to include those who are supposed to benefit from ... See Morethe new legislation would be, dare I say, simpler? I know I'm not the first one to mention this and I'm no expert so I'll defer to others who are more informed about the subject.

Senator Bob Bennett has some pretty eclectic taste in films, including contemporary hits “The Dark Knight” and the Harry Potter series, as well as World War II pieces “Tora Tora Tora” and “Schindler's List” and light-hearted comedies “My Fair Lady” and “The Sting.”

A few years ago I would just vote for the person with the funniest sounding name 'cause I had no idea who anyone was or what they stood for. If I was looking at the candidates and there was a "Smith" and a "Huckabee" you bet I was voting "Huckabee." Why? Funny name. How do you huck a bee, anyway!

Idiots like I was as well as the deep funding of career politician (and thus, name recognition to the uninformed) is the reason we need term limits.
