Ourstage.com is website that allows listeners to vote for their favorite songs in a monthly competition. I got lucky this month and won the Folk Channel and advanced to the finals.

Fresh off her performance in the Emerging Artist Showcase at the 2009 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Jenny Goodspeed combines beautifully crafted lyrics and heart-breaking melodies to create a sparkling fusion of folk, pop, and Americana. Recorder columnist Sheryl Hunter said about Goodspeed, “We are fortunate to live in an area that is rich with talented singer-songwriters and we can now add Goodspeed to this esteemed group."
Jennie McAvoy’s music combines the magic of the traditional ballad singer with the intimacy of the folk-chanteuse. McAvoy has an impeccable ear for collecting songs—and an uncanny knack for making them her own.
Michael Orlen is a singer/songwriter and guitar-picking graduate of Boston's Charles Street music scene of the late 60's who performs in a wide range of styles from ballads, to bluegrass, to ragtime.
P.A.C.E. is located at 41 Union Street in Easthampton and in addition to a theater, has a café that provides meals and goodies during all of their shows. There is a $5 suggested donation for the showcase. For information about the showcase, please email info@coopconcerts.org.
