Joel Muston Today was the final day for recording bass parts. Nathan pulled out the double bass and let rip! This thing is finally coming together!! Other highlights of the day, Nathan spilling his tea through his amp (ouch) and Fin's dog Ziggy farting in the vocal booth, just before a take...not cool. May your news be good news...
Joel Muston R.I.P to my capo which snapped today after 9.5 years of service. Pitty we didn't quite make the 10 year mark, but you'll always be my favoiurite capo, as you took the burden of all the fretting for me... 'RIP Kyser Capo 2000-2009'
Joel Muston It's been a week of not smoking and getting healthy. (Run Forrest...)I'm happy to say that my vocals have improved a lot. Doing crazy things like daily running water in one nostril and out the other and inhaling steam to keep the nasal passage clean. Oh yeah... and lot's of 'gee' sounds over scales and arpeggios. Sorry... if you thought this would be interesting... haha

Great to meet you Cedric... thanks to the business man who took a punt and bought my cd without hearing me play... and the Connex dude who gave me a free ticket. Biggest lesson of the day... save the personal conversations for face to face. As tempting as using text may be, it... will never ever ever be a substitute... got it Joel? Joel Muston Best bit of today's busking experience... being approached by a group girls on South Bank (Hen's night) and being asked to bite a marshmallow of a marshmallow necklace on the 'Hen'. Of course I obliged... It's not my fault the marshmallow necklace hung over her cleavage... She wouldn't let me get a lighter out and toas...t it first... understandable.

This is the semi final at a really intimate venue, with in my opinion some incredible artists from around Melbourne. Doors open from 7pm and I encourage you to get there early as there is... going to be a fair crowd and it is worth experiencing the music! I'll be on shortly after 9pm
