What you have said about your experiences working in the pharmaceutical industry is so true that I can't stress it to others enough!

We need persons like you to tell this!

...I've been doing my own research in the pharmaceutical business for 8 years now and just a little over a year ago I got into the learning the drugstore and personal care products business. To make a long story short, I started visiting chain drugstores to see how they operate their pharmacy and retail businesses. As a result of doing my own business studies and research in the drugstore business, I now know more than ever on the pharmaceutical business and now on personal care products, medical devices, and insurance businesses, as well as real estate due to being a knowledge requirement when it comes to negotiating leases and/or sometimes real estate purchases for business location(s).

To put it this way, drugstores/pharmacies and pharmaceutical industry need each other and work together to sell product and make money!

The chain drug stores and pharmaceutical companies, as well as some medical device companies also have to answer to thier shareholders in regards to thier business operations and revenues.

To david, of course the Dr. had free samples of brand medications that are not yet off patent. See the Eli Lilly Sales Job preview video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hd62qFrt6_o&feature=related and this will give an idea in regards to so...me doctors mentioning brand name medications first when there are generics that work the same or even better than the brand name medications that just came out, and of course depending on the condition, etc....etc...etc. What I would say and to describe it, be a smart medical consumer and do your homework and take part in your own well being and health. For instance, the Rx medicine TV commercial you saw, do your own research into that medicine and see

#1 what the adverse reactions are.

#2 What it's purpose is, what it treats.

#3 See if you can find clinical trail studies done on this medicine.

#4 Read the PDR book on this and all other medicines, as well on over the counter (OTC) medicines.

For starters, no one should ever think a disease has been "wiped out" nor should they even try for that matter, but that's an issue to be discussed later. What I am most concerned about here is a level of bias and ignorance that has taken h...old of the medical community at large and has spilled over to the general population from the repeated chants and rants of those who are so sure that vaccines are safe and effective. I know because I was once one of those people.

As a child doctors would take me aside and talk to me about a career in medicine. There had been several doctors in my family, including my father, who from all accounts was a great man and fine physician. I didn't know him well personally because he died when I was three, but his friends were thankfully in my life to relay information I would not have learned otherwise. One physician friend said, "Thanks to vaccines you won't have to deal with some of what we had in the past. I wouldn't even know what some of the childhood diseases look like myself if I saw it today". As a young adult even I thought that a little odd and even scary, but I would not fully understand the ramifications until I had nearly lost my children, suffered a stroke myself, watched other children die, lose my mother, and on and on. Every day was another reaction to shots laid before my eyes.

Eventually one wakes up to the reality that they are not as safe and effective as we are told and he or she does the research that should have been done BEFORE you vaccinate. So I eventually studied the illnesses such as pertussis to find that we don't develop lasting immunity to pertussis. Like the flu and unlike measles, we will get it over and over again. Like the flu shot, the pertussis vaccine does not work. All I had to do was dig up a few review articles to find that, but how many of us stop to take a trip to their medical sciences library. I can safely say not very many. I can also say that those of us who don't vaccinate are much more likely to have done so.

What I find most alarming is the fact that I have a bachelors degree in Biomedical Science and M.S in Kinesiology with a 3.8 average, and none of this was on my radar. My husband spends many extra hours on the computer researching for his patients at home, and yet he knew nothing of these matters. Why? The doctors are taught one thing and one thing only about vaccines..that they are safe and effective. Oh and "anyone who doesn't vaccinate cares more about saving a few dollars than their own children's lives or they are religious fanatics". That's what one professor told me in undergrad. I now see that comment for what it really is, but at the time the entire room of pre-vet, pre-med. pre-dental students worked themselves up in a feeding frenzy, if you will, nodding their heads in agreement and mumbling about the crazy people who don't vaccinate, and I just sat there. I had yet to experience the brutality of vaccine injury for myself, particularly through my children. Dr. Wakefield sums it up nicely with his book title, Callous Disregard.

So if you take a moment to research pertussis you will find it is everywhere in both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals alike. It is the "allergies", "croup", "new flu" that doctors ignore until you go back for antibiotics. It is also the riskiest portion of the DTaP, according to not only parents, but also physicians, scientists and government health agencies. My children had classic textbook cases of pertussis but we were told to go home because we were vaccinated. I kept my children home but watched as others sent their misdiagnosed and untreated children to school with their allergies spreading it further.

So pardon me if I don't agree with you, but once you know the truth there is no going back...thank heavens. And no article such as this one will have its ill effects on me and my family again. I have personally found that my family reacts to all of them, and I have every reason to believe that my father might still be with us here today if it weren't for his military vaccines. The shouts of "coincidence" from doctors are drowned out by the very real cries of those who suffer needlessly and have seen the truth with their own eyes.See More
