Well I see the pilots have applied to have their certifications reinstated. I think it is funny that they have made the Urban Dictionary...Northwest Nap~when you sleep so deeply that you can't be awakened by ATC, chimes, cell phones, or fighter jets!

Was told the other day what would take care of this problem {by a 1K no less}....1st bag free to check, charge for all carry on rollerboards....there would be an exponential drop in bags brought on and a whole lot less drama. So of course, United would never agree to this!

The company messed up on this policy...it should be, charge for carry ons and maybe we wouldn't have to do 150 announcements about how to store their bags and then check what doesn't fit...another "well thought out" policy (NOT!)

So glad the Union actually did something about this. No more 90 year old seniors selling their seniority privilages to others. This wasn't just about stealing trips at midnight from other flight attendants- It will stop the dishonest trades with "FRIENDS".

When will I ever see an international trip again???

This is bull. I've been using them religiously and there hasn't been a problem. Now they want me to try to get to work on United Distress. What is so difficult. Hurry up and solve this problem.

I'm not the seat police. United expects me to do enough, with less pay of course. More pay, more work. Didn't these people ever have any kind of basic business schooling?

You've got to see the new jetbridges, seat covers, configurations, offices and all the spending as looking like sprucing up for merger...if only we'd get a contract with some money after all the concessions we've made!!!

It won't too long before nearly every domestic short haul flight is run by a regional jet. We've gone from 26,000 flight attendants to just over 15,000. What the hell is going on?

All i can say is sad to see...I see planes but I think about the thousands and thousands of jobs lost since 9/11 and they say the terrorist did not win.sad.

@Tony: Good point. Jobs/benefits were lost and Osama's still out there kickin' it in Pakistan somewhere. Very ironic that this graveyard looks a lot like a crash site.

Perhaps it's more of a basic animal instinct, part of an ritual to "stake out" and "mark" new and unfamiliar surroundings.

I put this right after bording the plane and immediately asking for a glass of water to take medicine. Who is that doctor issuing perscriptions that mandate "Take Twice Daily on Airplanes Only"?

Its a bit pricey but there will be those who will use it!
