JWD Publishing It's a new year and I think it's going to be a grand one at that. Our second day comes to us wrapped up as a gift of numbers. Today's date ....01 02 2010.....can be written both frontwards and backwards. How great is that? It's a palindrome. We'll have 12 in this century, and today's is our second. Less frequently tha...n once in a blue moon we get a palindrome! It's mindless fun for people who love numbers (me).

JWD Publishing Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Magazine is really great! What's amazing is how they were able to place all of the pattern pieces of each pattern in their insert pages. It must have been an illustrator's true challenge (or perhaps a true nightmare). Whoever did it, did a super job. He/she should get a bonus! My hats off to the illustrator!

“Happiness in a Block” was the block I submitted to Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Edition. I was so excited when it was one of the ones to bechoosen to be in themagazine.The block is paper pieced and easy to make.
