Keni Thomas made it back home in time for Christmas. Down at my mom's in Ft Lauderdale trying to adjust to the time, the weather, the people.... where am I? what time is it? this is not afghanistan

USO TOUR UPDATE:
spent the past two days visiting FOBs out on the front lines of afghstn. We
travel by blackhawks and spend the nights in tents. Sometimes the out going
artillery rips through the night and jolts you out of bed. But better to
have outgoing mail, than incoming!
Most of these FOBs we visit are small outposts.... we play to about 30 or 40
folkS and spend an hour hanging out and talking. Then we hop on the aircraft
and fly to the next place and do it again.
These are my most favorite shows. Just an acoustic gtr for Kevin and me. Of
course Lindy wows the guys w her magic violin and everlasting smile. I'm
very proud of my people and the job they are doing. I'm very proud of the
troops we visit and the job they are doing. I'm very proud to tears to be an
american representing america out here. Until everyone comes home.
