I know you to be a consistent, conviction-driven conservative who puts principles and values over political pragmatism every time. This, as well as your integrity and humility, is what made you such a strong voice we conservatives need more statesmen like you. It is for this reason I implore an act of service for your country.
Perhaps you already... Read More have heard of the GOP senate primary in Florida pitting the popular Schwarzenegger-style 'moderate' governor Crist against the young conservative upstart former house speaker Marco Rubio. The race is already being described as "the battle for the heart and should of the Republican Party" and will likely have some major ramifications if the media favored 'moderate' wins it.
I'm asking you to not take my word for it, but to look into the race and the candidates histories, and see if that doesn’t spur you to getting involved for the sake of party and country.
Thank you for your service to your state, country, and God. Keep up the good work

Don, Obama isn't pandering to the polls. All the polls are against him! His popularity is really only at 57%, not in the 60s as the media would like you to believe. The personal opinion polls normally survey only 33% Republicans anyway. If they split it 50-50, I've read Obama's personal opinion poll is more like in the 30s. Wake up, Obama is pandering to his own Neo-Marxism, not any polls.

Recent events reveal how far to the left President Obama really is. When the president’s Cairo speech, taken with his reactions to the deaths of an abortion doctor and a U.S. soldier, are weighed against his Department of Homeland Security report and his Supreme Court decisions, a pattern emerges. ....

Well ... yea! If Tiller was a hero for sucking the brains out of a human baby because the mother was depressed and waterboarding is torture (even though it saved countless lives because of the intel it cultivated) then well yea! I guess I'm a terrorist and proud of it. God Bless America, Give me Liberty or Give me Death!

I agree that we have a change in moral code and standards that is against every sense of what is peaceful and right. I hope that we can turn things around. That the President chooses people like Serbelius to bring in health care reform and his pro abortion stance is sickening. Tiller was admired by both. I feel much like a German might have done living in a society that was killing Jews.

I respectfully disagree with Mr. Parisi - I believe it matters a great deal for conservative African-Americans to have more visibility. They are the best counter to the perpetual welfare entitlement, oppressed- victim mindset trumpeted by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and ACORN!

C-span, the Web & print media seem to be the best places to hear from them - but the "average American" isn't likely to get to know them in these venues. Good point Wanda. Just fighting the liberal fascism that is rampant in our country. Whereas it is important to have African-American conservatives that are not covert, political idealists will peg you a racist for mearly pointing out the fact that they are african-american. President Obama’s nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor is a declaration of war against America’s gun owners and the Second Amendment to our Constitution. If gun owners mobilize and unite, it’s possible (though unlikely) to stop this radical nominee.

Everyone has to keep writing their Senators. The media machine right now is trying to portray her as a middle of the road person, but we all know she is far left with racist tendancies, won't protect the unborn, and i think she lost all credibility with her ruling on the new haven case. We need judges who treat everyone equal not special. judges are suppose to interpert, not legislate.

Mr. Blackwell is exactly correct. Obama is a very skilled liar - he claims to want to reduce abortions, yet EVERYTHING he has ever done, whether in the Illinois legislature, the U.S. Senate, or as president, will only increase abortions. The man is EXTREMELY RADICAL. He would deny pallitative care to babies born alive from "botched" abortions, ... Read Moreleaving them to die cold, in pain, and alone in a garbage bin. He would remove the right of Catholic doctors and nurses to refuse to perform or assist in abortions. One of his first acts as president was to increase funding for abortions by revoking the Mexico City policy and other executive inititatives limiting funding of abortions. He supports the so-called "Freedom of Choice Act,' which would remove every single state restriction on abortion, restrictions such as parental notification, waiting periods, etc., restrictions which are the majority of Americans support.

I am shocked and disheartened that so many self-identified "pro-life Catholics" are mersmerized by his honey words and don't recognize his BLATANT HYPOCRISY. What "common ground" can be found between this man and orthodox Catholics? Where does one compromise with someone so wedded to the culture of death? On the life issues -- abortion, ... Read Moreembryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, etc. --- this man supports positions which are
DIMETRICALLY OPPOSED to the Church, regardless of anything he may say to the contrary. In addition, regardless of what anyone says, abortion is not one among many social justice issues, but the pre-eminent issue. Abortion, unlike war or capital punishment, is always and everywhere intrinsically evil. It is murder of the most innocent of human beings. Finally, this man CLAIMS to be a "uniter." His appearance at Notre Dame was anything but unifying; rather, it was divisive in the extreme.

If Hollywood put more wholesome movies out that actually were formed by creativity it might espouse the idea that values and virtues are a good thing. they'd never go for that, they'd lose their control over our moral decay and we'd be going back to the 50's ideals. Wouldn't that be nice.

It seems to me that the same logic of General Motors permiates Hollywood. When GM replaced top CEO's with accountants instead of engineers with gas running through their vanes, and (GM) took the attitude of "whats good for General Motors, is good for the country"' was the beginning of the end. It would be wise for all to read Elbert (NOT L.Ron) Hubbard's "City of Tasgate / The Prophecy"
