Bill Lind Congressman Kevin McCarthy announced on the Ralph Bailey show (KNZR 1560 Bakersfield) today that he will support the incumbent California Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack in next year's primary election. Congresswoman Mack voted yes on the Cap and Trade bill earlier this year. If Cap and Trade passes in Congress many peopl...e in Kern County will lose their jobs. How can Congressman McCarthy say that he represents our district and then turn around and support Congresswoman Mack who voted against our district? I attached a blog posted by an environmental wacko professor at Duke University who also gives her his support. Her "lingering concerns" and “This is all still a work in progress — a moving target,” means that she is not committed to voting no on a bill that goes through reconciliation. This is political posturing. She has committed to voting yes for Cap and Trade. This is because of her personal believe in the false science of global warming (... See Moreclimategate) and the big money interests from renewable energy. Both of these interests are against the people of Kern County. Agriculture and the Oil Industry in the central valley are prime targets for the green movement, which global warming and renewables are a part of. I say no to Cap and Tax. Let the free market decide. The republican party leadership, which Congressman McCarthy is a part of, should stand against anyone in the party that supports the green movement. Congressman McCarthy has a difficult choice to make. Either support Party politics and favor with party leadership or support the cornerstones of the Kern County Economy (Agriculture and Petroleum). What is it going to be Congressman?
