Holly Kikkan...I remember in middle school you used to run a mile to warm up for the mile run, and then cool down after by running another few laps....Congratulations on all your success!!!

Kikkan Randall A fun article in the New York Times.

www.nytimes.com
Kikkan Randall has thrown open the doors on Alaskan cross-country skiing just as one of her heroes, Steve Prefontaine, awakened the country to Oregon’s running culture in the 1970s.

No American has won an Olympic medal in cross country skiing since 1976, but Anchorage skier Kikkan Randall could change that in Vancouver this February. The 26-year-old is now leading a revival for U.S. prospects in the sport.

Kikkan Randall Kuusamo update. No luck in the sprint, skis too slick, finished 36th. Redemption on day 2 with an 18th place in the 10km, new WC distance PR, again!

Kikkan Randall Great day in Beitostolen. 5km classic in the rain. Paced it well, came on strong over the 2nd half and finished 4th. Even got to sit in the leader's chair for a bit. Psyched to feel fresh and strong. Now a week of training before the 1st World Cup next weekend.
