KKTV 11 News McKenzie Martin: A busy 24 hours for firefighters in Colorado Springs. Two fires broke out yesterday...another overnight at an apartment complex in the Southwest part of the city. We'll have details on all the fires on 11 News at 5:30.
KKTV 11 News McKenzie Martin: Our beloved Sports Director here at KKTV John Owens...better known as Big Daddy gave notice today. He'll be leaving us to pursue a new chapter in his life. His last day will be December 11th. We're sad but wish John the best of luck!!

KKTV 11 News FROM THE NEWS CONFERENCE AT 5:30AM: Ft. Hood officials report the death toll now stands at 13. One civilian is among the dead. The other 12 are military personnel. Ft. Hood is no longer on lockdown, but is at a heightened level of security. Officials also say today will be a day of mourning for the Ft. Hood community.

KKTV 11 News Stacia Naquin here: On Tuesday, Nov. 10th, Sesame Street will officially mark 40 years on TV! Can you believe it? I watched it with my mom when I was a little girl. I hope to watch it with my kids someday too. So, who is your favorite character? I'd have to go with Big Bird or Snuffleupagus. =)
