Did this one feel less forced then last year? I feel like they lose their magic in anything bigger than a basement, but I guess it's all in comparison to the first time I saw them.

it's hard for me to judge. shooting is a different experience, so it was almost like i was seeing them for the first time. what really turned me off about their shows was the crowd. when they hit the mainstream, the average age dropped by like 8 years. i think they feel that too.. thus, no more crowd surfing on the drum.

dunno about gogol yet. i think i'm shooting a hardcore show one of those days. gogol's been disappointing the last couple of times i saw them.

In all honesty, I would have to agree. The last time I saw them live it almost seemed like a different band. The energy was just not there and it looked like they were working instead of performing.

but they're still gogol. and still fun. i dunno about that marduk video.. i have a collection of really short clips from that night, really hard to edit in a way that makes sense. and of course, the sound is quite horrible.

he didn't drink the blood this time, and no nightmares for me. but that was the most intense show i've ever been to. something is just off about that guy.. i noticed the smell too.
