Maybe it's the name...I prefer a printed copy also. You can't toss your computer in the car when you know you'll be waiting for kids and need something to read. :) Still, Kyria looks interesting!

Kyria Why don't we take the spiritual discipline of rest more seriously?

Do you have feelings of self-importance when you're busy? Do you feel like you're indispensable, and that the world can't go on without you?

We're used to caring for everyone's needs--at home, at work, at church. We often believe we can't possibly afford... to take a rest.

From the December 2009 issue of Kyria, Ruth Haley Barton gives some tips for finding a sacred rhythm of work and rest every day.

Kyria Editor Ginger Kolbaba talks about the December 2009 digizine topic of Rest, releasing November 25, 2009.

"We focus on why it’s essential physically, mentally, and spiritually to give yourself a break every single day. And then we’ll help you figure out how to incorporate those times of reprieve into your daily life. Res...t isn’t a once-in-a-blue-moon luxury. It’s a way of life—one that we need to diligently pursue if we’re to be true followers of Jesus."

Congratulations! I have to say I miss my Today's Christian Woman Magazine. I was a subscriber for years and bought the magazine as gifts as well. There is nothing like sitting back on the couch with a hot cup of tea or coffee thumbing through and reading my magazine. I do applaud what you are doing on line.

I agree Lisa! I miss my Today's Christian Woman magazine! I used to be so excited when it came in the mail. I would curl up in a chair with my magazine and a mug of hot chocolate. I miss thate experience of actually holding the magazine and turning each page. :)
