Benjamin William Gumm I grew up in San Leandro as a kid & played hookey from school to watch my heroes play in Oakland (not in Fremont). I am now 43 years old& live outside of Chicago. Just because I have moved doesn't mean our beloved Athletics need to move. Keep the A's in Oakland where they belong!

Mike Morrison The A's belong in Oakland - Focus on doing something to fix the bleachers and open up the 3rd deck. We don't need a new park.

Scott Headley The Oakland A's have been my favorite baseball team since I was A little boy. They need to stay in Oakland period.

Aimee R. Van Selow The A's have been in Oakland since they left Philly decades ago. "Fremont A's of Oakland" is even WORSE than the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim". Does Oakland REALLY want to emulate LA?? We finally got our football team BACK from LA...we don't need to lose our baseball team.

Carl Moren The only thing that needs to leave Oakland is Lew Wolff. And Al Davis too.

Brian Ando I have watched the A's in Oakland for 30 years. The A's belong in Oakland.

Myrna Let's keep the A's yeaH Sign the petition everyone to keep Oakland A's here!

Colbert Tse If the Athletics have the inclination of leaving Oakland, I think they are missing out on a great renisance period going on right now. The Uptown area is more vibrant with the Fox Theater attracting music acts like the Pixies, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Arctic Monkeys that would normally play in SF! Many new restauranteurs... are opening up shop in Oakland instead of SF! Oakland to San Francisco as Brooklyn is to Manhattan! With a new park in Oakland, the Athletics can only add to the positives and the up and up happening right now!

Garth Kimball From yesterday's Tribune. "We need revenue," Wolff says. "We need to have a fan experience that allows us to attract 25,000 people, rather than 4,000." So kinda like it was before he bought the team. The best line, in my opinion. The A's ranked last in the majors in attendance in 2009, the sixth straight season their ...attendance has decreased. So, Wolff has done nothing in his tenure as owner to increase interest in the product he's promoting, and somehow this is Oakland's fault? Just as an attendance perspective, the year Wolff took over the team in 2005 the A's avg. attendance was 26,038, the following years 24,403 (2006), 23,726 (2007), and 20,559 (2008). This stuff really riles me up, Wolff could attract over 25,000, if he would only the team alone, and not slam the city or fans each chance he gets. We have never drawn only 4,000 fans. I'll let you guys discuss the fan experience, which has . I'm not a smart man, but I can see through this, I just hope the powers that be can as well. Please find friends to join and sign the petition. Let's go Oakland!

Julio C Espinoza I'm there at least 20 times a year. R you!

Bill Yee When are the pledge cards coming out? C'mon everyone...if everyone pledged a season ticket if the owners equally pledged to stay in Oakland, we all would win! Think about it...a pledge of 20,000 season tickets would send a strong message that there is support to keeping the A's in Oakland!

Mike

Let's Go Oakland! is a group of A's fans, business people, community and labor leaders, who are committed to keeping the A's in Oakland. This Facebook page will be used to demonstrate to Major League Baseball and team ownership the widespread community support that exists for keeping the A's in Oakland. As part of a ...larger plan to build new hotels, restaurants, and cafes, a new destination stadium will attract visitors from all over the region. We hope our ballpark will be a catalyst to bring new investment and jobs to Oakland. The final plan to keep the A's in Oakland will be implemented by the City of Oakland via official communications with Major League Baseball. Let's Go Oakland's plan is to demonstrate to the City and MLB that there is substantial and widespread support to keep the A's in Oakland by building a new destination ball park in Oakland. We must do this by getting thousands of fans to sign our petition. Based on our understanding of MLB's process, we believe this approach can lead to a new destination ball park in Oakland. Go A's!
