For many students, campus ministry becomes a community of friends, a home away from home, a kind of extended family. It is a body of believers with whom students grow and play, worship and serve. It is a community of faith that becomes church for students because it is more than a place, more than a...

One among many things that need to change, is how we train and communicate to each other. Most training events are still geared for the people about to retire than for the generations coming up. Being in the middle (in my 40s) by the time training changes it will need to be geared to the 20 and 30s. We need to find ways to train all in meaningful ways.

Can we say more? What aspects of training are geared toward older generations and what needs to change? If you were planning a multi-generational training event, what you include/leave out?

I would provide one group overview experience and then break out into various opportunities where people could choose how to receive info or what info to receive (ie. choose topic or style you can't always get both) That way each generation has the opportunity to have at least one thing during the training day that has been dedsigned with them in mind. Sorry it took so long to respond.
