Lou's Records

I love lous records. I have patronized this store about 20 years and today was the first time I have ever been disappointed. Today I drove 30 miles at lunch to buy the new Morphine cd and they didnt have it. Morphine the Epitome of an Indie band. How can Lous not have it and best buy does? I should have called but Lous has always had what I wanted the day of release.

I am so amazed by Lou's perrfect ability to tell a story. From his factory dazes to now. Age and time has made him like a "Great Wine".I found the Banbana Album at 13 and knew NYC would be a place I had to go live the life..3 cord blues rock and roll..ooops I have been talking about Lou Reed. I will check out Lou's Records

A great day is having lunch along the 101 at any of dozens of awesome eateries and then spending a couple hours browsing through Lou's, then going home and listening to the great finds!

lous was and still is the only place i can find the music i love.

Here's my perfect day.
1. Go to Grandview beach in Leucadia and hit the water.
2. Go eat at Don Chuy's Mexican Restraunt in Solana Beach.
3. Swing into Lou's and go shopping on the way home.

This is probably the greatest record store I have ever been in. No, not the biggest, just the best. I must have purchased over 500 discs there in my time in San Diego. I personally thanked Lou, when I'd see him at a live show, for running such an awesome store and making the records affordable to the average young kid. Cuz that's all it's ever been for Lou, to supply the community with the best music at the best price. Has always hired fun, creative folks to run the store as well. I live in NYC now, so this will probably be the last time I have the opportunity to thank you Lou, for making so much incredible music available to us all, and not ripping us off in the process. Long may Music follow you!

In the day 20 years ago Lou sold me everything cool. My father bought a bunch of music for me that I had to return to Lou and Lou asked 'why would you return all these great albums?' I already owned them all. ( ;
