Luke heads to Atlanta for the WKHX fair before he prepares to end the week in Las Vegas to vie for his first major award nomination - the ACM Top New Male Artist award!

Luke with be appearing on CMT’s half-hour special PEOPLE' COUNTRY SPECIAL ON CMT Saturday, May 17 at 1:30 pm, ET/PT. The show will encore on Sunday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m ET/PT and 1:30 pm ET/PT. He'll be featured along with Kenny Chesney, Clint and Lisa Hartman Black and Jack Ingram - so don't miss is!

GAC will be re-airing their ACM SHOWCASE special featuring Luke in their ACM Top New Male nominees show on Saturday, May 17 at 1:30 PM, ET.

Country star Luke Bryan is a daddy, he tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The "All My Friends Say" singer, 31, and his wife, Caroline, 28, welcomed their first child, Thomas Boyer Bryan at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday at a Nashville area hospital.

Bryan said he was "over the moon" to meet his new son, who weighed 6 lbs., 14 oz., and added: "Everyone is doing great! My fishing buddy is finally here!"

The "All My Friends Say" singer, 31, and his wife, Caroline, 28, welcomed their first child, Thomas Boyer Bryan at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday at a Nashville area hospital.

Bryan said he was "over the moon" to meet his new son, who weighed 6 lbs., 14 oz., and added: "Everyone is doing great! My fishing buddy is finally here!"

"I thought being on stage was an amazing feeling, but there is nothing that can top watching my wife bring our son in to this world," the singer tells PEOPLE. "There is no way I would have missed this for anything."

The baby gets his name from his father, whose formal first name is Thomas. Boyer is mother Caroline's maiden name. But his parents will call the boy "Bo," Bryan said.

Bryan and his wife met in 1998, when the two were students at Georgia Southern. They married on Dec. 6, 2006.

Already, Baby Bo has scored some great country swag from the likes of singer Josh Turner, who sent a onesie with a guitar on it, and country video director Shaun Silva, who gave the little guy an "I Crawl the Line" onesie.

Luke Bryan can’t believe how his week is shaping up. Still on a high from receiving his first award nomination on Tuesday for the ACM Top New Male Vocalist he was hard at work this morning at the 39th Country Radio Seminar when he received word that he received his second award nomination – in a week – the CMT Music Video Award nomination for the “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” for the video for his top-5 hit single “All My Friends Say.”



“This is just unbelievable,” Luke Bryan said as he just shakes his head in disbelief. “I was at a loss of words with my ACM nomination two days ago, and now knowing the fans have voted me to receive my first CMT Award nomination – it’s just mind blowing. I’ve always had the best fans in the world.”



Tomorrow night he performs at the 39th CRS New Faces Show – a highly coveted spot – to perform for over 2,000 country radio and industry executives.



His new single “Country Man” goes for radio adds March 24.



CMT Video Music Awards will be telecast live Monday, April 14 at 8/7 CST.
