Lunch Money We're three days into the recording session! Things are going great! I love working with Tor Hyams, who is producing our record (and laying down some tuneful keyboard work on our Rhodes). Can't wait for you to hear it all!

Lunch Money A song about picking teams (you know, being the kid waiting in the line up) is kind of leaping out of my brain. I think this deadline stuff eventually warms you up! It will definitely have a whistling solo (so get ready for that, J.P.).

heh...do you remember in 7th grade during exams when we went outside and we got this old beat up soccer ball for our class...we started playing kickball (the one thing I was good at) and the dang ball exploded when I kicked it....it was so funny...and then all of a sudden so sad...cause then we had no ball to play with...

Hah! I'm trying to remember that but am getting it mixed up with the time my brother and I over-inflated a basketball to similarly spectacular/sad results!

What's neat is that there are a lot of super-new songs! And I want to do this every year. As always, I think next time it will be less hectic, hah hah.

Lunch Money It's true that sometimes I put up a fight (stand my ground)/ When you are trying to say good night ('cause I like you around)/ But with a chance to sleep on it, to my chagrin/ I'll admit I was wrong - I should be in my bed/ Point taken - I'll stay in my bed/ As usual, you are right - I'll stay in my bed

So does that mean 16 sticks? I may have already surpassed that...you know, since we never really get any trick or treaters around here anyway.

Lunch Money Working on a song about trading...did you used to trade? Any regrets? Any good scores?

My friend and I traded concussions once, while "sword" fighting with some old golf clubs, but I don't think that makes the kind of impression you are going for.

But we DID trade a shoe box full of GI JOE and He-man figures to GET said golf clubs in the first place. GI JOE guys were almost the official currency of our neighborhood. Even the girls would always trade for them, since they were worth their weight in gold. One GI JOE could get you two E-Z BAKE oven brownies, and a shrinky dink.

Stephan A. Terre Yesterday in the car, my 2-and-a-half year old complained that he couldn't hear Tiny Dinosaurs well enough with just the car speakers. He wanted his own little speaker attached to my iPod. Probably didn't help that I was singing along :)

"Turn it up, dude!" Maybe I'm not supposed to say this, but I think our CD sounds better loud :). Glad to hear we are bringing out musical passion in the under-three set! And that we have you singing along too!
