My sister has it and after 2 painful years in san diego with doctors who didn't understand she came to Jamaica to stay with me . after research she has been on a strong plant based diet and we found a doctor who put her on a regime that has the lupus in check . Research, research this illness on your own and change your diet and you will see changes

I'm constantly amazed that most people don't know the extent and severity of this disease. It is progressive, life-threatening, and has no cure. People live in agony and many die.

april, i know exactly how you feel....i am so sorry for your pain and hope you can keep your inner strength..pull from that and don't ever give up..it's a struggle every day i know, but as my son always says "mom please don't ever give in, I know it's hard for you but please keep pushing".
