Emma

Emma I'm in Australia and have seen a few sample pages from Mailbox and love them. I am slightly confused as to what to sign up for though and would love someone to tell me if I have the right idea!! Do I just sign up/purchase a subscription of the Mailbox Magazine and then I get free access to register for the mailbox comp...anion?? As the sample activities I have seen before have that web address on them www.themailboxcompanion.com
Is the Teachers Helper a different thing again??? Appologies for the silly questions, but I don't know anyone in Australia that is subscribed that I can ask. If mail box and teachers helper are different things, do people have a preference??
Thanks to anyone who can help me!! :)

Mary Arnold

Mary Arnold I have been teaching for a long time and I love the mailbox it is my favorite, because alot of the ideas are from teachers and they have already done the activity. The Education Center does have alot of creative and knowledgeable staff too. Can't decide which one to get so I subscribe to both, preschool and kindergarten. Well worth the price!

It’s time. Let’s take the bull by the horns and talk about New Year’s resolutions. Do you have one? Do you plan to keep it? To me, making a resolution always sounds like a good idea, but I hate to break promises—especially ones I make to myself!

I think my neice, Roxanne LaBell Dearman, is still a free-lance writer for "The Mailbox." This magazine is full of many math ideas for teachers. If I'm in the right place, please let me know.

Does this happen to you too? A few Saturdays ago, after running errands for several hours, I decided to pick up dinner on my way home. I’m sure I was looking fairly tousled. ...

I always run into former students or parents. One time I ran into my one of my students in Wal-Mart. The student did not believe I go grocery shopping."I didn' know you go to stores." I guess they think we only teach. (smile)

As a substitute teacher I truly believe I know every elementary child in town, and they all know me! "Mom! Mom! It's Miss V!" follows me everywhere I go. Kinda nice.

I have stolen a pair of gloves! No, no, the winter-wear police aren’t going to clap me in irons. I stole the gloves while playing a game of Dirty Santa at The Education Center’s annual holiday potluck! Each employee wraps an inexpensive gift. (B...

I sing a lot—not because I have a great voice (I don’t) but because my three-year-old daughter learns so much through songs. Grace and I sing about nearly everything (and I mean everything) from routine tasks like brushing our teeth to skill-based topics such as letters and numbers. I’...
