I would like to use Maktub
Five as preshow music in a play I am designing sound for at North
Seattle C.C. We would need an email giving us permission to use the
music for the run of the show, with a possibility that the play will
air on public access television SCCTV here in King county. The play is called "Not in the P.I...." written by 6 local playwrights about the death of the Seattle Post Intelligencer,
one of our local papers. The show is gettimng alot of buzz, and we open
Friday Nov6 so I hope to hear from you soon. Another local band,
Fairgrove has generously let us use their album Good Luck for the
intermission, but I would love to see Maktub played to get the crowd in
the right mood preshow. I can be reached at 425 354-8840
"It is written"
Thanks,

April I was playing iTunes via my computer speakers and the Makub album Plurality of Existances came on. My youngest son (4) asked what kind of music it was. My oldest son (6) answered in all ernestness, "Jerk music? Is this jerk music?" I laughed. A lot.

David Vaughns so I was listening to Pandora today when Reggie- solo stuff comes on (Simplified, good stuff) then followed by Citizen Cope (who I've seen the band open for before! great show- Pyramid Brewery outdoor late show in the tent!) and then some vintage Maktub! It made my day! hope all is well, fellas! ~"D"

To use your own words....Baby Can't Wait.....to see the band perform together again!!! Miss you tons. I went to Bumbershoot 2009 just so I could watch Reggie perform his comedy to get a small Maktub fix! Word to Reggie...he was great! Very funny, entertaining, and different/smart than most comedy. After the show, as we... were all walking out, people were making comments about him specifically and I felt like a proud parent. I had to tell them about "his" band Maktub and how great he was in it, how great the band is, etc. The audience REALLy liked Reggie. But hurry back boys....I feel like a piece of my life is missing without getting to see you perform. Listen to your music everyday on my iPod and am still telling people about cha, too.Read More
