Thank you for submitting your application! To be considered a transfer student you must have 24 transferable semester credits. If you have less than that, then we will request a high school transcript and test scores.

Since you have already submitted your application, the admissions committee will be checking to see if you meet those credit requirements. If you would like to check on which credits are transferable on your own, you can visit our transfer credit site at www.hawaii.edu/admrec/transfer. Once the admissions office recieves all your documents and your file is complete, it will take about 4-8 weeks to make an admisisons decision. If ever you want to check on the status of your application during that time frame, you are more than welcome to call the office directly at 808-956-8975 or toll-free at 1-800-823-9771. Keep in mind, the office operates from 7:45 am - 4:15 pm (Hawaiian Standard Time), Monday - Friday.

To address your last question, the admissions committee looks at all applications on a case-by-case basis and will be looking at all of your documents together for admissibility.

Hi Aharon! Thanks for your interest! Please see below for answers to your questions:

1) For guaranteed admissions, students must score 510 in each section. We do sometimes make exceptions on the test scores if students meet in other areas of the SAT and as long as there is not a big gap in the points from the 510 required. 510 is the "ballpark" score we are looking for. Having a higher GPA does help you as well.

2) If you do not meet in any area of our admissions requirements, we highly recommend that you submit a personal statement. These statements are usually no longer than 2 typed pages.... Več

1) About 74% of students are accepted to UHM

2) We do not require an essay as part of the application process... Več

3) Yearly tuition for 2010-2011 is $7,584 for residents, $11,376 for WUE, & 21,024 for Non residents

4) Over 9,000 students receive financial aid and our campus size is about 20,000 students

5) On campus housing for the year, 2010-2011 is about $8,200 (includes meal plan)

6) It is not required for freshmen students to live on campus
