The Marionettes Chorale sings from the heart today as we bid farewell and safe journey to one of our nearest and dearest. There's a Native American proverb that says: "When you were born, you cried, and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a manner that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice." And so it is.

Astra Da Costa was a magnificent figure in Trinidad & Tobago's cultural, corporate and philanthropic landscape. She was also a long and dear friend to the Marionettes -- a former member, and our publicist for many many years...

The Marionettes Chorale is mourning the loss of a national and regional treasure. Astra Da Costa, a former member and our longtime publicist; the founder and CEO of AMPLE; and District Governor of Rotary International, passed last evening. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and colleagues -- she will be dearly missed, and never forgotten.
