Mark Gresham Kudos to Karl Henning and Nicole Randall-Chamberlain for their performances and compositions in Tuesday night's "Irreplaceable Doodles" concert! It was an artistic success! Thanks also go to composers Nikitas Demos and John Anthony Lennon for hosting a pair of daytime workshops with Karl for their students at Georgia... State University and Emory University.

Robin Lucas Would it be possible to email you with some interview questions for a Music Industry class project I'm working on? It would be short, simple and to the point. I just need to write a paper based on an interview of someone in the specific field of the industry which I am interested in. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

Mark Gresham I've been asked to judge a composing competition for the Georgia chapter of the National League of American Pen Women. I accepted the task today. Submission deadline for their members is Jan. 15, 2010; awards presentation March 10, 2010. In the interim between those dates, I must decide awards among the submissions ...received, in a total of 3 categories: instrumental, vocal, and song lyrics.

Lots
of non-composing work to do this week, including gathering audience for
the "Irreplaceable Doodles" recital on Tuesday, Nov. 17 by Karl Henning
(composer-clarinetist) from Boston and Atlanta's own Nicole Randall-Chamberlain (composer-flutist). Y'all come, if you're close enough:

BTW: The concert could still use a few "supporter" donors. Contact me
directly if you're interested in knowing the "how" of doing that. Even
if you're not close enough to attend, it's a great way to help us out
anyway!

This is new: The Lanier Trio is now on Instant Encore http://www.instantencore.com/laniertrio
where you can now buy their recordings in 320k mp3 format. They've
never been available in digital downloads before, one of the results of
them reacquiring the audio masters after Gasparo folded last year.
William Preucil, violin;...
Dorothy Lewis, cello; Cary Lewis piano. You have to create an account
to buy (via PayPal or credit cards), but then you can become a fan.
Dvorak and Brahms trios are available now; word is Mendelssohn trios
coming soon.
