I'm 36 and Mickey Mouse scares the hell out of me.

Aidan's is spiders...sometimes at night we get the magic spider spray out (aka: Febreeze) and spray the room...It puts him right at ease...

My daughter started kindergarten this fall too. We've been going through the exact same thing, even though she spent a year before this going to pre-school and LOVING it. Read MoreYou probably don't have this option, but I noticed it stopped when I finally gave in and started letting her ride the bus to school. The first week or so of bus riding was really hard for me, but I've gotten used to it now and I also haven't heard one complaint about having to go to school since. Good luck, I'm sure it will get easier.

oh my, you are not giving me a lot of hope for our family's trip across america in a month! (vegas to dc) and i too am constantly annoyed and embarrassed by my children's (son's mostly) competitive nature, since I am NOT at all!! ugh. and thanks for making me crave the kindereggs....mmm..... :)

Drawing while telling stories is like show and tell, only with one's imagination instead of things. I think Scott McCloud said (and drew) some neat stuff about show and tell in his book, Understand Comics (which you should totally check out!), but my copy is with a friend right now.

dj lance is my very favorite person. i saw him in St. George, Utah! It was excellent. I cant imagine what spending the day with him is like though :D
