Thanks to everyone who submitted photos. We've selected what we think are the best, and now we're going to have a little contest … (Sorry if yours isn't here, there were 100s submitted).

We've also roped in US arts journalist and author, Adam Lehner, to select one based on his professional experience.
The two winners will receive a Wales themed goody bag. We will count the votes and announce the winner on Monday November 23rd at 3pm EST.

    • Frances Matthews I just want it noted that not all Americans think that way-- I was born in Wales but have lived over in Canada and the US all my life. Unfortunately, the American education system only thinks England, Scotland and Ireland exist. Wales is barely mentioned in textbooks if at all.

    • Pam Allison My great grandfather was from Wales, he came to the US as a teenager and became a sea captain.(Capt.David Ellis) I am so very proud of him, and of my Welsh ancestry. My older sister just made a trip there this summer, I pray for the day that I can visit also. What a beautiful country!

    • Zena Blundell I've liked several I hope that's ok. What an awesome calendar some of this photographs would make. What a pity most of them are of North Wales. Were there none of South, Mid and West Wales that were good enough? Also please can you do this again next year as I would have liked to submit but saw the details too late. :-{
