New technologies have disrupted the business of publishing. Books have become software, consumed on eReader devices, smart phones, and computer screens. Authors can self-publish without the greenlight of a major publishing house, and news and current events are fed daily di...rectly through RSS feeds. The value of print has changed, and the publishing industry is now a multimedia business.

Mediabistro.com's two-day eBook Summit will take a closer look at the changing digital publishing industry, from the perspectives of content creators and of publishers. Leaders in the field will uncover business development opportunities, and highlight the latest technological innovations currently driving the future of digital publishing.

This is entertaining! Love it! The only one I wonder about is # 3. You're suggesting to stop tweeting about the conference or event you're attending. Of course, I can certainly appreciate that viewpoint, because many tweets don't make sense to those not in attendance. However, I believe that if we we think about our followers as we tweet, we could give them very helpful info from the conferences they're not attending. I know I appreciate tweets from events I can't make.
