Jennifer Dehghan Wide Release? Woot woot! what's up?... that's right mmmm hmmm... well done.
Jeff at 4:09pm May 27
wide release? does that mean that it could be seen in our little state ofDelaware?

Paul Duggan will go wide release in June. Does anyone out there know how to link facebook and twitter. Many people are discussing the ending. I think a dialogue about it will help turn out as we go out wider.

A powerful film because the suggestions keep coming days, even weeks after viewing, Merry Gentleman will become a cult favorite.
One tribute to Keaton that may or may not have been mentioned is that Bastounes steals every scene he's in. Keaton could have shot himself as the scene stealer, but doesn't because everything comes together through Bastounes, more than through either of the other two leads.
The title itself keeps offering powerful suggestions, beginning with it's singular number. Since in the Christmas song, the noun is plural, does that mean we should narrow our focus on one character? If so, which one? The Keaton lead role seems most likely but that's not as interesting as each male whose life is made "merry" by the female's spirit, one at a time. In this regard, the adjective "Merry" also takes on many new meanings.... Read More
I wouldn't want to discuss the ending or anything too specific on Facebook, because the film is so sneaky with its impact, why spoil it.

CRITICS' PICKS
'The Merry Gentleman'
May 7, 2009
Like a fog-shrouded hill, "The Merry Gentleman" might slip by you unnoticed. Don't let it. This small gem of a movie is the first directed by Michael Keaton, who stars along with the exceptionally talented young Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald. We see in the film what Keaton has refined as an actor -- that ability to know exactly how to play each emotional note for maximum effect. Which means he never underplays or overplays this quiet love story that develops between a young battered wife trying to lose her past and herself in a new city and a hit man trying to reclaim a remnant of his soul. The dialogue is exquisitely spare, a gift from screenwriter Ron Lazzeretti, and the Christmastime Boston that cinematographer Chris Seager has conjured up is yet another present under the tree.

We are thrilled to announce that The Merry Gentleman will be at the AMC Loews Crestwood Theaters starting this weekend, May 8th. We need 1000 people to come out to the show this weekend so get your friends together for a night out, or take Mom for Mother’s Day! This is your chance to make a difference and get this critically acclaimed film distributed to a wider audience.
Please note that after the Friday 7:15pm show in Crestwood, Executive Producer Paul Duggan and the movie’s co-star Tom Bastounes, will conduct a Question & Answer session. So, for all you movie buffs out there, this is your chance to meet the co-star, and get some behind the scenes info. After the Q&A in the theater, we will all get together at Bourbon Street, (3359 W. 115th Street, Merrionette Park) for cocktails.
On Saturday night Paul will again conduct a Q&A session after the 7:15pm show, and then we will all meet for drinks at Franconello’s (10222 S. Western Avenue, Chicago).
Thanks for your support!
