Metric seriously needs to release an acoustic album, be it new songs or acoustic versions of their singles. Emily is a brilliant vocalist but her voices shines like the sun when she performs acoustic songs. There are many examples but two that pop in my head are Combat Baby (I have a new appreciation for that song) & G...imme Sympathy. Her voice is suited for all types of music, especially when the song is stripped down with the electric/electronic instruments & sounds being taken out. The song takes on a whole new element. Plus, it makes my appreciation, admiration & respect grow for her. There are many musicians & bands who need a guitar riff or drum beat to sound good but not her.
