MeTTro Happy Birthday to Us! We just turned 9. In dog years that's 63. Yikes! We're not quite ready to retire yet - still fire in our belly.

    • MeTTro Thanks for all the congrats guys. It doesn't seem like 9 years at all! We're still having fun even though someone is bashing on our roof trying to get our old aircon off....

MeTTro Interesting news article on Apples new iPhone - worth a read if you are considering one. http://www.news.com.au/technology/iphone-4-users-sue-apple-over-signal-problems/story-fn5sd1vk-1225886972696

USERS of the new iPhone 4, who suffer signal problems because of the way they grip their phones, have filed two class action law suits against Apple in US federal courts.

      • Michael Dolley You have to love Steve Jobs reply of "Just avoid holding it that way". It's a shame because the iPhone 4 was the first version that I actually liked aesthetically.

      • Scott Daniel Oxford Will they success is the question...am sure Apple would happily refund their cash and even buy them a Nokia instead...remains to be seen how our networks fare wit this little problem. Wonder who (or how many) got fired over this little embarrassment...

      • MeTTro I was so looking forward to upgrading to the 4 but I think I might wait a while longer. Interesting though... other than the massive FAIL of the Newton I can't think of the last time Apple stuffed up. Many other companies have done a lot worse!

MeTTro Some lovely examples of HTML5. In particular take a look at the gallery - nice use of space. http://www.apple.com/html5/. Thanks to Kevin for the tip on this one.

Every new Apple mobile device and every new Mac — along with the latest version of Apple’s Safari web browser — supports web standards including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. These web standards are open, reliable, highly secure, and efficient. They allow web designers and developers to create advanc...

MeTTro Oh wow! Thanks Apple... we just received our iPad dock. The guys are going to have so much fun playing with it. Who needs an iPad when you have an iPad dock?

Niall Heff http://vocamus.net/dave/?p=1092 - Cool stuff! "Imagine if you could grab and manipulate audio with JavaScript just like you can images with Canvas. Firefox experimental builds let you do just that: crazy audio visualizations, a graphic equalizer, even text-to-speech, all in JavaScript! Work in progress; you need a spec...ial build of Firefox (videos available), being worked on via W3C."

              • MeTTro This is cool Niall. Can you imagine the user defined interactive experiences you could build by manipulating the audio?

              • Niall Heff The potential of ideas like that is something else, imagine open source, browser based applications that rival programs like Audition, Ableton & even Serato, DJ's doing their stuff on websites, live in clubs... The future of web applications is just around the corner.
