Regretfully Martha I can't support a leader who was appointed and not elected!! The LPC has become a party of reaction instead of constructive actions!! Your annointed leader flip flops all over the place on any issue + his no class response to the PM's singing debut at the gala just solidified my decision to never vote liberal again. I pity you Martha, you're stuck in a party that is sinking into the same political abyss that Stephane Dion sunk the Liberals in. Good luck.............SWH...

It's a good way for an activist minority to advance their candidate, much like the "instant memberships" scheme Dr. Manning's old party used to take over the late Progressive Conservatives, but it does not address the low turnouts.

In fact, as a tactic, it depends on low turnouts of the uninterested. Expect such campaigns to be particularly nasty, divisive and to discourage people from voting.

Team Findlay is pretty good at this, but in general:
1) reply to emails and messages promptly and personally, not just through staff
2) don't treat websites and Facebook accounts just as dumping grounds for press releases
3) tell us about YOUR ideas and activities, not just the Party's
and 4) listen and respond, don't just tell.

Neither am I but I think MPs should be given a course on how to use the new media and about the benefits.

It is not easy, wish I had an easy answer...with respect to Marshal McLuhan don’t let the medium dictate the message…content is of singular importance if you name is on it make sure you personally approve it. How it is delivered press release, email or text of speech it is content that counts, and by consistency of delivery it will come to be trusted Jennifer's point 3 is spot on
