Middlebury College Collegiate quidditch, popularized by Middlebury students, was featured in a two-minute commercial for the new Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince." The spot aired on MTV during "The Real World," and the Middlebury folks seen were Alex Benepe, Kate Olen, Phil Palmer, Charlie Hofmann, and James Schonzeit. Three more shorter spots are in the works. Enjoy!

i'd like to get in touch with you.
i'm really excited and scared to go to college! it's nice to have someone who shares that in common!

Airy at 2:47pm June 30
Hi, I'm an alum-class of '98. It's a bit scary but it will be the best time; you're going to learn so much about yourself and get a great education both in and out the classroom. Embrace it and enjoy!

Jospeh D. McLaughlin
I am Joseph D. McLaughlin, Class of 1976. Any 5th floor Hepburn buddies, Slug cohorts, or Club 3D partners in crime?
Give me a shout.

Carlos Antonio Brown Happy Father's Day to Middlebury College men (some still there, others who've moved on to different pastures) who took such vigorous interest in my intellectual and ethical enrichment, most notably: John Elder; Will Nash; Richard Cornwall; Leroy Nesbitt; and the redoubtable, larger than life and thrice as stentorian, utterly inimitable Robert Pack. More than mere pedagogues, these men did for me what my biological father knew not how. I'm very much obliged. -Carlos

Michael Mahler Where are my Spanish School classmates from 1966? It was a wonderful experience!

Maria S. Viale I wonder where are all of my classmates from 1974 . We all were in Paris for a year to complete our Master's in French. What a super experience!

Maria S. Viale Great to connect with Middlebury! I loved the summer French program ... that was a long time ago! But I always remember it!

Marjorie Wehr It's been a long time...I graduated from Middlebury in 1967 and the German language school in Mainz in 1968. The friendships from those years are the strongest I have today and the ones I cherish most.

Graham Balch Fellow Middlebury friends, I graduated From Midd in 1997 with a degree in environmental studies and am now running for state senate in Georgia. I am excited to stand up for better education, global stewardship, and ethics in government - and I need your help. Please click on the link to my state senate page and become a supporter. As Margaret Mead said "Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

I am thinking that on a much smaller scale, your argument is that if my neighbor throws trash in the street it does not matter that I actually throw my garbage away, recycle or compost. Does the world require a start date to inspire ecofriendly behaviors like the digital cable switch for people to get on board?
Dave at 6:14am June 20
John.. where is the scientific proof that man made emissions DO NOT contribute to global warming?
Should we not err on the side of caution until this is proven one way or the other. After all worst case scenario is that we make are limited natural resources last longer if we try to be more carbon neutral.

Laura
Kristen Chencus '97 passed away on the morning of May 30th. She was killed in a fire in her apartment building in Baltimore. For the past 10 years Kristen has been a middle school teacher and the girls basketball coach at The Jemicy School, a school for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning difficulties. Kristen really found herself when she began teaching and she loved her job and her students. Kristen's dedication and enthusiasm inspired her students and all of us who knew her.
Anyone who knew Kristen also knows that she liked to have fun. Kristen laughed easily and made others laugh and see the absurdity of things around them. Importantly, she was also able to laugh at herself. She is already dearly missed.
A memorial service is being planned in Kristen's hometown of Hampton, NH. Anyone who would like more information about the memorial or contact information for Kristen's parents can contact me through FB
