Missiongathering - Christian Church

San Diego’s urban villages are continuing to be cultural and trendy hotspots for residents and visitors. Though our neighborhoods are “up and coming” or already here, there are needs to be met and have been urging our involvement for some time.

This fall Missiongathering Christian Church will be hosting an ongoing ev...ent designed to assist the communities of North Park, Normal Heights, and Golden Hill through revitalizing a program that has provided survival supplies for hundreds of San Diego’s homeless youth. Street Angels Presents: Packed Out is an ultimate school supply drive to provide necessary tools for our local urban elementary students to succeed and prosper this coming school year. Street Angels is prepared to equip every student in our community with backpacks full of supplies but only with the help of the community itself.

Restaurants and businesses throughout our communities will be sites for patrons and community members to assist these families that do not have the means to provide their children with supplies. Each establishment will host a collection bin for individuals or groups to drop off supplies during regular business hours. Join us in this effort to ensure every student is given the tools to succeed by donating school supplies!

On September 13, Missiongathering will also be hosting a Packing Party at our offices in Hillcrest from 7pm-9pm.
