Missouri Botanical Garden
In Flanders Fields
By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly.
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flander...s fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

This seems to be the consequence of an affluent, self-absorbed society. Most people on this planet are just happy to have enough to eat every day. My advice to this woman is to get some therapy & get a life.

Missouri Botanical Garden Don't pitch that pumpkin-compost! It’s a “green” nitrogen source; add leaves for a “brown” carbon source. Smash to help it decay faster.

Spooky tale #3: A volunteer was headed to Tower Grove House one AM. She saw a "lady in light," at the front door, talking to someone inside. The volunteer assumed a staffer was already helping the lady, and went around back to enter the house, only to find she was the first person there. No one inside to talk to...and ...when she looked out the front door, the lady in light had mysteriously vanished. A caller for Henry?Read More
