Ah, it's that time of year again. City workers putting up Christmas decorations. Seasonal music piping through retail establishments. Secular humanists resuming their annual plot to dismantle the fabric of American society. That's right, the annual war on Christmas -- or, rather, people screaming i...

I am CERTAINLY boycotting them! Every year, they dis Saturnalia. If it wasn't for that holiday, Christmas wouldn't have had to be created to replace it and Christians would have celebrated the actual birthday. And since that was sometime in March, it would have really messed with college basketball. Not to mention all the songs would suck (let... Read More it rain, let it rain, let it rain?)

If you can't be willing to include Saturnalia in your hanakwanzsolstmas, then consider yourself boycotted.

As a writer on MLive, I'm very familiar with an audience that can, at times, take things a bit too far, but admittedly I don't have anything on what the above group, the Good Luck Joes, went through after they won a contest and got to create a promo for Fox Sports Detroit.

MLive.com Do you agree that Michiganders must change their way of thinking that the economy can one day return to what it was?

Source: www.mlive.com
Amid the economic turbulence of these time, there persists the view among some people that somehow, some way, things will return to the way they were years ago. Yet if Michigan is to find prosperity again, people in the state must accept the past as the past and that the auto industry will never ag...

Michigan politicians should change their ways and realize that they are standing in the way of progress. We need new innovations and technology to replace the manufacturing industry that we have relied on for so long. We could be a leader for green technology, but the Chinese will beat us to it. We are too busy paying our full time legislators the ... Read Moresecond highest salaries in the country for doing nothing. Most of them spend very little time in Lansing. Then we pay them lifetime benefits when they leave office. We could use that money to assist Michigander's in starting up small and large businesses that will provide jobs. We should also be investing in education, such as the Promise Scholarship and K-12 funding. The only ones left with jobs in this state are our useless partisan politicians.

@ Dawn: Agreed.

Now, I don't like Palin, I don't think she's stupid either. I think she played up her ditzy part and was stuck in a pretty bad situation in terms of how well-prepared she was for it (2008 Election). But, her ditzy persona is probably the biggest reason why I don't like her. I don't think she portrays herself well, even now, and I ... Read Morewish that she had true respect for herself rather than covering it up with brash and unacceptable confidence.

But. I personally don't care about the book in the least. So, she's making some extra money and making her fans and political followers happy, so what? Let them do their thing. She's going to be around for awhile, until about 2011 when she realized that the GOP will most likely NOT allow her in the 2012 elections and then she'll fade away.

Palin should take a leson from Granholm. What are you serious. Granholm has done nothing productive for this state but in typical Democatic language spin things around . The best thing she should do is quit. The sad thing is she didn't get appointed to Obamas team some how so she would get the heck out of Michigan. She's a joke.

Not the unions fault. Unions, Big 3, small supplier companies ALL lobbied for the bailout. No one should have gotten money. Banks or Big 3. Health care should pass, but not the way they're doing it. Then again. We've conferred our power on to them. They know the system the best and they're is little way the average American can fight their money and power.

I read in the newspaper where a GM manager took 6.5 millions in an aluminum scheme worth $1 billion. He was hiding out overseas and was brought back here now to face trial. Unions are always being blamed by republicans. Rick Wagner didn't help either, he had the same attitude as the banking excutives CEO's. He was paid more than he was worth, too.
