Agusting Villegas Winds direction change in San Luis Potosi City since December 1, 2009 when atypical weather conditions presented: low temperatures, high winds speeds, rain and sun all the same day. Winds with speeds until 70 Km/hr made dificult to walk also some trees fallen. The wind direction normally is SW in December and January a...nd now is N. Last years high wind speed present in February "loco" when the direction changes from SW to North. The rain conditions are atipical since last 3 years as functionary Conagua said, normally in the city the rain season is from May to August, this year began last September and still continue. Mr Emigdio Martinez saw a Monarch in his house in Agatha St last Nov 26. Several Monarchs was seen towards south croosing the highway San Luis Potosi- Rio Verde close to the Moctezuma Cement Plant in Cerritos SLP at November 15, 2009. Hope the Monarchs continue his way to his Sanctuary at the states of Michoacan and Estado de Mexico and arribe safe.

Of course there is nectar for the adult butterflies - we had to provide an artificial solution since they probably won't be able to find too many flowers up there to feed on :-)

Kim Schnitzius My kids and I found a pupa, put it in our Bugville Treehouse, and it emerged today!!! We let it go after a few hours and it flew off just like it was supposed to do. We rounded up two more pupa and put them in the treehouse, too. They are so lovely! Pics are on my blog at http://ramblingfamilymanager.blogspot.com.

bummer... butterfly died today. We kept it going for 3 weeks, though. It's wings were really dried and starting to deteriorate.
