hi, this sounds like a fantastic idea, i only know a little of buddhism, but what i do know and have read on the website makes me want to know more. but i must ask how does the monk for a month thing work, i guess we would have to pay an amount for ticket, food, ect, but how much of it goes to helping other, local orph...ans for example, and to upkeep of the temple

A war on monks is still underway in Burma, revenge for the monk-led peaceful mass demonstrations in 2007. The military junta continues to put pressure on monks and their family members, place bans on preaching the Dhamma and impose travel restrictions.
