On Wednesday, November 25th, Ambassador Roderick Moore shared a traditional American Thanksgiving holiday luncheon with several Montenegrin families and their children.
The meal included the traditional turkey, stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes, followed by a classic dessert of pecan pie.
The Americans attending the lu...ncheon said they were excited to use the Thanksgiving holiday, which is the only holiday specific to the United States, as an excuse to share the custom and tradition of good food and better company with Montenegrins and hoped they could do it again next year.
As one guest stated, “Thanksgiving is the only holiday that not only crosses all religious boundaries, but one that is as close to a Montenegrin Slava as you can get and we are happy to be able to share that traditional American custom with you.”
