Moses Siregar III Nice quote on writing and "discipline" from a 1964 article in The Writer by suspense author Patricia Highsmith, writer of 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' ... see my first comment for the quote.

After 13 days, I'm more than half-way to the NaNoWriMo goal of 50K words this month. I'm sitting at 27K right now, making this by far my most productive month of writing. It has taken exceptional focus for me to write this much, though. It's pretty intense, but I'm also really enjoying it.

A 1938 article called: "The Professional Writer" by Somerset Maugham. It ends up as a profound piece about the spiritual liberation of the writer/artist. I found this in the 'Classic Writing' section of the writermag.com website.

Moses Siregar III Tonight's triple writing companion, on repeat: Lose Yourself (Eminem), Hurt (Johnny Cash), No Quarter (Led Zeppelin, from The Song Remains the Same Live album).

After writing more than 2K words today, I changed my mind. I AM going to do NaNoWriMo this month (National Novel Writing Month, which is always in November). The goal: 50K words. You need to average 1,667 words a day to "win." 1 down, 29 more days to go. Here's my spartan member page at the NaNo website where I'll be updating my monthly totals daily:

October report: 16K words written (55K total). The bad: less than last month's 21K. The good: my last 4 days writing were all 1K+ days (been visualizing writing 1,500 words a day, and when I have written recently I'm getting close to that). Also learned that drinking a beer and writing does not work for me (makes me ve...ry unproductive). I'm excited for a new month and will try to be inspired by NaNoWrMo. Wish me luck!Devamı

Jennifer Hi Moses~Sorry that I have not gotten back to you on a more personal note to reconnect, but at any rate i thought you might find this, if not inspiring or intimidating, at least interesting. Wishing you well from waaaaaaaay over here~j

Olivia DeMoss I love your article on Mars in Leo ... of particular interest to me ... looking forward to seeing how it unfolds. Thanks.

Sila It was a great article on Mars moving to Leo, thank you

Tennessee O'Donnell I was really interested to read the article on Mars moving into leo, as that is where it is placed in my birthchart so a very timely transition for me. Thankyou for sharing!

Celeste Onorati Let the words flow... you are one amazing LEO, can't wait to read your brilliant work! Love listening to your knowledge and wisdom!

Therese Willette Also a fan of Psycho-Cybernetics (1960) since 1969, first read when found my Scorpio Nurse/mother reading and practicing this as she healed her patients in the hospital. It became my total obsession and the platform for my interest in NeuroLinguistic Programming. Still remember the first moment I found this book (revolutionary for its time).

Inspired by Maltz's 1960 PSYCHO-CYBERNETICS (over 30 million sold--it's the basis of many later self-help teachings, and it's excellent), I've been practicing visualizing myself writing as I wish to, happy with book in hand, etc. (vividly experience the process and the goal with all senses, every day). I've noticed tha...t it's getting me to the computer earlier every day to write after just a few days. Pretty neat!Devamı

Jason Guterl Siregar Wassup, cuz???? Hope everything's great with you. Good luck on your project. EYE OF THE TIGER!!!!! (LOL) Be good
