I feared the same thing the moment I heard this news, as well as a backlash against the mental health profession. I'm already hearing the "terrorist" theory floating amongst my circle of friends, and have been trying to suggest that this may have just been a case of too much stress. I know we all pray for the victims and their families, and am united with my Muslim friends against this tragedy!

The grenade in the tent at the start of the war, Fort Dix Six, now Ft Hood. I'm not buying that this is not domestic terrorism. Why does a Psyc Dr. take weapons training? And finally PTSD... before deployment! Give me a break.

I do appreciate the various Muslim groups condemning this. Speak loud and make sure you are heard.

Muslim Voices Dear MV fans: Do you think it is wrong to use the word "Allah" in the place of "God" in the Christian Bible?
Is it a matter of being deceitful, or being multi-cultural?

Source: www.npr.org
The Indonesian-language Bibles, which are still with customs, use the word "Allah" to refer to God, a banned translation in Christian texts in the Muslim-majority country. Church officials say the word "Allah" has been used for centuries to refer generally to God. ...

It was mostly an issue of language. There was just enough Islamic-looking terminology to make it appear legitimately Islamic; and his knowledge if English wasn't enough to clue him in to the Christian references in English. The brother knows his stuff, Islamically. This literature was straight up deceitful; and it was very craftily worded. It took me a second read to determine what was happening.

From what I read, they took an Arabic translation of the Bible and use the word Allah instead of God. I think that is silly but does not really bother me.

If someone paraphrases (not translates) the Bible for the purpose of deceit or confusion, I would have a strong objection to this. The Christian Bible can stand up on its own without crap ... Read Morelike that. (can I say "crap" on MV?)

I have an English copy of the Quran. I do not confuse it with Christian Scripture. If someone gave me an English copy of a "Christian" scripture that was actually Muslim teaching, It would make me feel less about the Muslim faith. So I hope what they did was a straight translation of the Bible.

One person should not overrule a majority. If the Atheist is offended, it is because the parent is too ignorant on how to educate their child. If I was in a predominantly Muslim country, I would not expect all schools nationwide to remove any Muslim equivalent. I would explain to my child that our beliefs are different and if anything, use it as a great tool to increase understanding of others beliefs.

This will be a great film like "The Ten Commandments".

You will have to give the film industry a few years before they decimate your religion too. They know better that to do it right away. Mohammad will be respected in this.
