Today, over 59.5% of all Utah children, adolescents, and adults are considered obese! Davis School District and Davis Applied Technology College have partnered to create the Get F.I.T Health Fair. The core mission of this event is to get “Families Involved Together” to improve their way of life.
The Get F.I.T. Health Fa...ir is a free event on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the DATC (550 E. 300 S., Kaysville) dedicated to educating families how to become more active, eat healthier, and live an overall better life. Get F.I.T. features three hours (10 am – 1 pm) of community resources and activities, including:
- Gold Medal Mile Walkathon (DATC Loop)
- City Recreation Centers & Gym Activities (Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Football, Dance)
- Healthy Food Recipes & Samples
- Free Immunizations for Children
- Health, Dental & Vision Screenings
- Dept. of Health Secondhand Smoke Awareness
- Interactive Booths
- Inflatable Obstacle Courses & Bounce Houses
- Wii-FIT & Prizes
