My Little Red Wagon Toy Store An easy to learn quick playing game we learned tonight was "pass the pigs". Two pigs become your dice. Roll them and rack up the points. We had a few laughs at reading some of the roll names... the oinker, pig out, snouter. This would be a great travel game, nice and compact.

Thanks Ann! Susan we are in a historic home on main street in Hudson. The store is laid out a bit funny. We actually have 2 larger rooms, a hallway, a porch converted to a third room and a bathroom. We take up only the first floor of the home. The whole backroom was an addition to the home which now also houses Western Reserve Printing company in the basement. We have only been there for 2 years.

I'm depressed. My daughter is asking for the dreaded Zhou Zhou pets for Christmas. Ugh.I've tried to do all the "right" things. We limit tv time and stick to PBS almost exclusively. We have creative, open-ended toys like blocks and dress-up clothes in our home...

We explained, that if you want that one really expensive gift, you will have less presents to open on Christmas day then your sibling, because gifts are equal. Then the decision was up to them. May sound harsh, but sometimes that lesson is a harsh one that you are not always getting what the ad says.

You might want to find a review sight so they... See More can read what the toy does exactly. We've done this with movies our teenager has been invited to. Once she has read true movie content, she has declined some invites or suggested other movies to see.

I find that my kids tend to forget things after a while. If they continue asking for something I won't buy, I take the blunt approach and tell them why I won't buy it. They typically drop it at that point.

We are so inundated with advertising. It is good practice for kids to learn to be denied getting what they see and want on T.V. I think it will aid in teaching them self discipline later on.
