after district officials said they participated in “kick a Jew day.” District Spokesman Joe Landon said a student told the dean of

Naples Daily News The finest of man’s best friends were on display at the Greater Naples Dog Club’s All-Breed Dog Show this weekend at the Collier County Fairgrounds. The show featured 478 dogs in a variety of breeds and sizes. Dogs from Afghan hounds to Yorkshire terriers were represented and judged for the American Kennel Club sanctioned show.

The biggest concern while lost for four days in the Everglades last week was the cold. “Bring the panther on. Bring a tiger on. Naples Daily News Residents from across Southwest Florida made their way to Pepper Ranch on Saturday as Conservation Collier opened the gates to the property for A Day at the Ranch. It was the second time the gates of the property have been open to the public since Conservation Collier purchased the land in February. Held from 9 a.m. to... 2 p.m., the event allowed visitors to tour the site on foot or in vans, and learn about the local history of the property and the flora and fauna.

Naples Daily News Rezoning, portables or both? That is the decision the Collier County School Board’s operation subcommittee will have to make before the next School Board meeting. To meet the need, the district would have to hire 216 teachers at an estimated salary cost of $14.6 million. The district also may need 239 classrooms. There... are enough classrooms available districtwide for the number of teachers needed but there are individual schools that don’t have enough classrooms while other schools have extra classrooms.
