Nashville Screenwriters Conference

In its decade-long history, the conference has produced many success stories such as music placement within feature films including "August Rush," optioned screenplays and scriptwriters that have gone on to produce major television miniseries. Previous panelists of NSC have included industry leaders from a variety of genres including John August (writer of "Big Fish," "Charlie's Angels" and "Go"), David Self (writer of "Road to Perdition" and "Thirteen Days"), Randall Wallace (writer of "Braveheart" and "Pearl Harbor"), Greg Walker (writer and executive producer of "Without A Trace") and David Hudgins (writer and executive producer of "Friday Night Lights"), as well as executives from New Line Cinema, Miramax Films, Dreamworks, Lionsgate, HBO, TNT, Fox, 821Entertainment, UTA, CAA, William Morris, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood.

Founded in 1999, Nashville Screenwriters Conference was inspired and created by the multi-talented Karen Murphy (producer of "For Your Consideration," "A Mighty Wind," "Best in Show," "Waiting for Guffman" and "This is Spinal Tap"), Les Bohem (writer/executive producer of "Taken," "Dante's Peak" and "Daylight"), as well as business manager and Nashville businessman, Gary Haber of Haber Corporation. The Nashville Screenwriters Conference is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
