How Nashua Valley Council is Funded
The Nashua Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America is a registered 501c3 not-for-profit corporation. Financial support for our youth programs come from from five primary sources:

  • Annual Giving through our annual "Friends of Scouting" campaign
  • Endowment - Includes wills, estate planning and the James E. West Fellowship
  • Capital Gifts - Support our Summer camps and Council Service Center
  • Gifts-In-Kind - Donations of materials or services
  • Special Events - Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner, Golf Tournaments and Community Good Scout Award events.

Company Overview:
The Nashua Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America serves 32 communities in North-Central Massachusetts, with programs serving youth between the ages of 7 and 20.
Mission:
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America—incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916—is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
