Hi all.... My boyfriend just took the test and scored 88. He has been contacted by a recruit. He really wants to join...which im all for it with him. Thing is ..he is moving back to NY in 3 weeks...Can he join from up here??? Considering he took the test down there?? Also what is basic and so on of the training like? A...nd when he does sign up .,...is it exactly 2mnth before the ship him to a training camp and where if he shipped from NY??? Paolo Caparas hello guyz, quik question a friend of mine just took the ASVAB today got a 97. now he is asking me a question about his enlistment papers, to be short. my contract was 6 years and then 2 years of IRR. but, the thing that i wasnt sure about is, his planning to take the 3 year minimum. after that then what? 5 years of IRR? i just dont want to give him the wrong answers. any help would be appreciated. :D

Jooney if you need glasses only to see far objects like say targets at a rifle range or to see the blackboard in a classroom from the back of the room, will the drill sergeants make you wear the issued glasses all the time at basic or do they allow you to wear them only when you need them but always have them with you?
