This park is spectacular and, I think, very overlooked. (I m h o) Most people I know who love the parks, have never even heard of this one. It was a VERY pleasant surprise to me the first time I checked it out on the way to somewhere else. Now, I've been back a few times, and plan to go again to see the new trails. I ♥ Colorado Nat. Monument!

While we haven't yet been to the park itself, the entire Grand Junction/Palisade area is just incredibly beautiful - it's on our list to go back!!! (Of course, ALL the NPs have their own beauty and interesting scenery - I encourage everyone to spend time in them whenever you can...this is our heritage, folks!!!)
