NCFR NCFR member Scott Stanley speaks this week for large gathering of Ohio clergy.

Nearly 700 Ohio Catholic priests and bishops will gather in Columbus this week in an attempt to rescue holy matrimony, which they see as an imperiled institution.

I like the updates too ... but taking a different angle, it's too bad that "saving holy matrimony" is framed as being at the expense of marriage equality for same-sex couples. I realize that is a different conversation, but I just needed to say it. In general, however, whenever research can bring light to political debates, that is a good thing.

Our annual conference is coming up next week, and I can’t wait. It’s my favorite week of the year. I bumped into someone recently who reminded me of another conference, many years ago, that I’ll never forget.

It is written down in my planner. Who would be the best person to e-mail with logistics questions that I have? As well, what day is the S/NP workshop - Applying to Graduate School and Ph.D programs? The program says it is on Thursday and S/NP newsletter says it is on Wednesday. Thanks! There are so many great sessions, I do not know how to choose between the S/NP sessions and the concurrent sessions.

You're in luck! You made it under the wire but if you'd waited too much longer you would have had to take the test.

Perhaps the train man was just having fun at your expense? It'd be pretty fun to play-act in front of folks who you feel pretty safe in thinking that you will never cross paths with again....
