Major League Soccer has released the list of protected players for Wednesday’s Expansion Draft. The Philadelphia Union will select 10 players from the available players left unprotected by the 15 current MLS clubs. (Full draft rules are available here.)

Christine Kretschmar I for one am appalled that Heaps did not make the list and I will be extremely disappointed if he gets traded. Oh, hey brother!

Andy Kretschmar: Is anybody else appalled that Heaps did not make the protected player list? It's obviously bias on my part; I know he's past his prime, but good god his leadership, commitment, and personality are never gonna' be found in anybody else. He is New England!

Jeremy: I approve of your protection list. hopefully Twellman can play n ext year and if Shalrie plays like he did this year. We'll be unstoppable

Steve Hart: I think the Revs need a new logo. Maybe a crest or shield like the other teams?

Phil Butt:
MLS Cup at the weekend, so who do we all want to win in the absence of the Revs?
For me it has to be the Galaxy, but not just because my famous countryman plays for them. Well, in a roundabout way. I want Galaxy to win in a high scoring entertaining game in which both Beckham and Donovan play absolute blinders. This wil......l show well to casual fans in the States and we're bound to get some coverage over here. All of which will be good publicity for the league.
A good crowd at Qwest won't look bad on TV either.
