I realize this is a national story, but I think u can't over look the local effects from 911. Everyones life changed forever that day and many many changes in lifestyle happen locally. Just from working at the Lynchburg Airport, I saw changes I could have never imagine seeing in my daily life. Going from a mostly care free work place to working ... Read Moreside by side with the National Guard and adjusting to seeing the military in my office in full gear including there very large guns. its a change I will never forget. I think a story that covers all the ways 911 effected our local business and people would be the story of the decade. Its the biggest story of my life so far.

The Death of Rev Falwell gets my vote. Over the years he contributed a lifetime of works for Lynchburg. Just think how many family's adopted children from his foundation. Unwed teen mothers could go there and give up their babies to make others families who wanted children. The young girls could go on with their lives knowing they made the ultimate sacrifice.

QUESTION: Do you think shouting down someone else's attempt at talking should be protected as free speech? Think of one person, like U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst to President Barack Obama. Or think of groups of people, opposing protesters at a rally of some kind, each side trying to be louder than the oth...er. Where do you draw the line when it comes to the First Amendment (or do you draw it anywhere)?Read More
